Established in 1999; the founder, Norm Lecuyer, brought a uniquely dynamic set of skills to the Ottawa renovation industry. Blending a passion for design with a vast and diversified knowledge of residential construction has allowed ARTium and Just Basements to build hundreds of stunning and functional living spaces for his customers over the last two decades. Over the years the company has worked hard at building a unique company with a unique process, affectionately called; the “ART of Renovation”.

Although blessed with many local and national design and renovation awards; ARTium and Just Basements has been able to maintain their focus of providing an exceptional renovation experience for their customers through steadfastly standing by their core values of passion, integrity and teamwork.

“We have always, and will continue to be, a customer facing company. ARTium and Just Basements has, by design, remained a small company, growing slowing, improving day by day, year by year. Our ultimate goal is to be the best at what we do, to offer the highest level of quality and service. We decided long ago we are not interested in being the biggest or doing the most projects. That would be a conflict with who we are and who we want to be.” says Lecuyer.

What started 25 years ago as a home based business, now operates out of an attractive showroom and design studio located on Carp Road in Ottawa’s west end.  One of the few, true residential design build firms in Ottawa, with three talented designers on staff, ARTium and Just Basements continues to push the envelope of what is possible in residential renovations garnering both the companies three national design awards in the last two years.
